Lovin’ LameBrain! It’s very cool. My question is this: When ripping a CD, is the track encoded using LAME? I’m rather new to this stuff. I’m familiar with iTunes and I’ve used it with a script that encoded the track using LAME and wondered if LameBrain does the same. Or… do I rip the cd and then encode using LAME. Thanks for your help.

Thanks David!
When you rip a CD with LameBrain, it does indeed use LAME to encode the file. OS X makes it really easy to do this by presenting each track on the CD as an .aiff file. The CD Ripper tool in LameBrain is really just a modified version of the batch encoder, the major difference being the FreeDB functionality.
