Today I am doing my best.
So are you.
I have a working CPAP now and I had a pretty decent night’s sleep. I feel an immense amount of relief that I have the medical equipment I need. It’s scary to lose it, and not know what to do.
I had to do a bunch of legwork and figure out the steps to obtain a new unit quickly. Working through the medical system to try to get things done is like playing the worst text adventure ever.
And I still had to pay out of pocket to get the unit. I will file with my insurance in hopes I can get reimbursed, but 🤷♀️. I am lucky I had that option. Otherwise, I was told to expect it to take two more weeks to confirm coverage with my insurance. I had already missed two days of work, and feeling like hammered shit was getting old.
My nerd brain is excited to have new hardware to play with. Both my old CPAP and new CPAP, or made by ResMed, but the old one was about 12 years old. This new unit is four generations ahead, and it’s like going from a PSX to a PS5. Maybe worth a blog post if I’m feeling frisky.
I didn’t feel up to posting here, but I did post daily “Today…”s on Mastodon:
If you need help, let me know.
